Tell us about your art practice.
My practice is about the coexistence and dialectic of alienation and intimacy in the everyday life, as I always seek possible variations in the mode of living, examine how the prevailing environment alters the identity of oneself and the meaning of objects. In these years, I have been developing my artistic creation with the concepts of traveling and residues, these concepts are attached to the realm of everyday life, yet detached to the mundane every day since they involved different meaning of time and space.
How did you begin your art journey?
It might be since before entering university where studied fine arts, I can’t recall exactly when it becomes my every day.
What medium do you usually use?
Painting, photography and video. They are all about light to me.
How do you transform inspiration into works?
Whenever I have inspirations from my surroundings, I used to do research on things related and conduct experiments to discover further possibilities.
How does art affect your life?
I see suggestions and possibilities through art from the way of living and attitudes to the circulation of different narrations and ideologies, and they are all complementary to each other.
